Waking up to new possibilities for moving, thinking, & connecting.

Waking Up to New Possibilities Through Movement

Every child learns in their own way. In my work with children, the goal is not to fix, teach, or train them, but to create the conditions where their brain can discover new possibilities. Through gentle touch, movement, and attentive interaction, I connect with your child exactly where they are—physically, emotionally, and cognitively. There is no need to perform or meet expectations. Instead, we explore together in a calm, playful, respectful way that invites curiosity and learning.

How Sessions Work

Each session is a gentle movement exploration, created in the moment using whatever the child brings that day. Through small variations in movement, the child begins to notice differences—how they move, how it feels, and what changes as a result. These new sensations give the brain fresh information, helping it organize movement more clearly and discover new ways of acting.

Parents as Partners in Learning

Parents are an essential part of a child’s development and learning process. You are your child’s first teacher and the one who creates the climate for learning at home. When a child feels safe, supported, and free to explore, real learning becomes possible.

Movement and the Nine Essentials

NeuroMovement uses movement together with core principles of neuroplasticity, the Nine Essentials. These principles help the brain notice differences, receive new information, and build new neural pathways.

We teach these Nine Essentials to parents, because supporting you is just as important as the lessons for your child.

You can read more about parent support and coaching on the Parent Coaching page or schedule a session through the Booking page.

Intensives

Why Intensives Work Best

The learning process is most effective when the lessons happen close together. That’s why I offer intensives of 8–10 sessions over 4–5 days. Each lesson builds on the previous one, giving the brain a continuous stream of new information to explore, organize, and integrate. For families who need a shorter option, I also offer mini-intensives such as 4 lessons over two days or a weekend.

To view upcoming dates or request an intensive, visit the Booking page.

What Happens During an Intensive

Each series of sessions includes:

  • Hands-on movement lessons with your child

  • Time to talk together — I point out what I notice, and I listen to what you observe after lessons

  • Adjustments based on your child’s responses from session to session

Sometimes I also guide parents in small moments — helping your child on and off the table, getting dressed, eating a snack, or responding to a request — and show how slowing down, waiting, or touching differently can turn a routine action into a new learning opportunity for your child.

Rest and Integration

Learning doesn’t only happen on the table. The time between sessions and after an intensive is essential. The brain needs rest to process new information and form more refined pathways. That’s why we pause between intensives rather than scheduling lessons week after week.

Locations

I offer intensives in Ojai (with flexible scheduling) and in Los Angeles (usually in 4–5 day formats every 2–3 months).

Details and availability are on the Booking page.

Continuing the Learning at Home: Parent Coaching

After an intensive, Parent Coaching is the best way to keep your child’s learning process going at home. Coaching is offered online in packages of 4 sessions, ideally within one or two weeks.

In these sessions, you experience in your own body how movement, attention, and the Nine Essentials create change. From there, we apply it to daily life with your child — so ordinary moments like lifting, playing, waiting, or responding become calm, meaningful, and full of learning.

Rest and Integration

Learning takes energy. During NeuroMovement® lessons, your child’s attention and awareness are actively engaged—so rest is essential. Time between sessions and after an intensive allows the brain to integrate new learning. You may notice your child moving or exploring in new ways during these quiet moments.

Intensives

The learning process is most effective when the lessons happen close together. That’s why I offer intensives of 8–10 sessions over 4–5 days. Each lesson builds on the previous one and expands on what was learned.

For families who need a shorter option, I also offer mini-intensives such as 4 lessons over a weekend.

Learning with NeuroMovement is very enjoyable for my students as well as for me. I love to witness their discoveries, and appreciate how much I learn from the children and parents!
